On April 17, 2023, Porac Municipality Mayor Jing V. Capil and Vice Mayor Budoy Tamayo awarded Certificate of Recognition to Pinatubo Mountainero as presented by Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator EnP JP Martinez. We are now officially an accredited and recognized Civil Society Organization (CSO) in the Municipality of Porac!
A CSO refers to a non-state association that works to improve society and the human condition. As we are closely connected to local Ayta communities, we are effective in enabling services in regards to tourism in the upland barangays. We can bring people together to achieve common development agenda and mobilize support for government programs and projects in more efficient ways.
Some of the meetings we attended are Conduct Plan of Materials Recovery Facility and DENR Pampanga CSOs Consultation Meeting for the National Budget Call for FY 2024.
On April 18 and 19, we attended the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Orientation and Workshop. This 2-day workshop is only the first part of a multi-session formulation of risk-informed CDP. This was attended by the Municipal Planning Team which includes the core planning group to planning technical working group: our Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan, municipal departments and CSOs.

With the assistance of UP Diliman School of Urban and Regional Planning, the attendees were able to create and present policy options to bring solution to observed conditions with success indicators. This workshop aims to guide us in creating Programs, Projects and Activities (PPAs) that will help in our vision to become a Green City.
